Information and Referral:

One Stop Shopping for Your Need to Know

Need a lift-equipped van?

How about information on color contrasts for your blind grandmother or flashing phones for a hearing impaired neighbor?
When was the last time you wondered about slope of a ramp or changes in Medicare and just didn't know where to go for answers.

LVCIL can help. Our Information and Referral Services are designed to educate individuals and the community at large in all aspects of living independently with a disability.

Services include our Disability Information Library (including books, magazines, pamphlets, videos, audio tapes, and more), the LVCIL newsletter LIVIN', and, of course, our knowledgeable staff that can assist you with any disability-related question you may have.

If LVCIL can't help you personally, we'll refer to the organization that can best serve your needs. LVCIL takes pride in its partners in community service doing good work in the Lehigh Valley.

For more information or to ask a question call or email any of our staff for assistance.

The Lehigh Valley Center for Independent Living (LVCIL) believes every person has the right to be as independent as possible; to make decisions regarding his or her own life; and to live in dignity within an environment that is free from barriers of all types: physical, psychological, social and economical.

LVCIL facilitates the empowerment of people with disabilities to reach their full potential, and enhances the community's awareness of the assets of its citizens with disabilities through the following services:
