About S2L: Career Path

Established in 2011 in partnership with the Office of Vocational Rehabilitaiton (OVR), the S2L: Career Path program matches qualified and motivated young adults with disabilities to employment opportunities in the Lehigh Valley.

S2L: Career Path is designed for young adults with disabilities who:

     - Are ages 18-25
     - Are out of school
     - Want to learn workplace and life skills
     - Are eligible or are currently receiving services through OVR

The program provides future employees with the skills to succeed in the workplace. Services for participants include:

     - Workplace skill development, inlcuding problem solving, teamwork and
       customer service
     - On ite job visitation, job shadowing, assessments and training
     - Intensive case management and problem resolution with an overall goal
       of competitive employment


Services for Employers

Employers across the Lehigh Valley have discovered the benefits of hiring people with disabilities. For example:

     - Employers who hire candidates from S2L: Career Path are eligible for
       generous tax incentives
     - Employees with disabilities have a far lower one-year attrition rate than
       the general population
     - Candidates can be trained on site by Vocational Coaches, at no cost
       to employers

In today's world, finding motivated and dedicated workers is more difficult than ever. S2L: Career Path staff can help you find your next successful employee by:

     - Matching you with job candidates who meet your specific needs
     - Providing intensive on-the-job training to assist participants as they
       master necessary vocational skills
     - Supplementing each participant's work to ensure productivity during
       initial training
     - Providing ongoing on-site support to you and the participant
